A new challenge..
Tomorrow I'm beginning a new challenge. I'm going to start a juice fast. My initial goal is to try to go 7 days. I'm going to try to train intensely during this time period. I will let you know how it goes every day and I really want to keep this thing updated so you know if it might be a good option for you. How it goes basically (and i'm probably butchering this) is that you put all these veggies into a juicer and then you drink the liquid that comes out. That would be really easy, but I don't have a juicer, so I had to use a blender and a strainer and the first batch actually turned out OK. I will be starting tomorrow. A little creative thinking never hurt anyone. I will be having just juice except for my post workout shakes which will include coconut milk, some protein, and a little sweetening. Wish me luck!

Shitty Day
Well I tried today, kind of. Probably one of my worst workouts to date. Couldn't lift shit. The overtraining is defenitely getting to me. Next week I'm going to take it light as I work into the Smolov program. I'm about to head to the football game back home to see my alma-mater get to the semi finals for football. I will keep you posted on how they do after the game. Have a good one.

Samuel L. Jackson Inspiration
One of my favorite codes to live by.
| "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you" |
The Road Ahead...
Tomorrow I will attempt to close out the end of my 5x5 cycle. My final set will be 200 kg's. This might not mean much to alot of people, but it does to me. This was my short term goal and to get to it, or almost get to it, is big for me. After this, I will take a week of recovery, and begin the "Smolov" Russian squat cycle. It is supposed to be one of the most intense cycles around. I will update you guys on how it goes and whether or not I recommend it. It is supposed to add up to 100 lbs to your squat but that will have to be measured. I will try to blog about as many recovery and training methods that I can to try to enlighten you guys. The point of this blog is to spread the "gospel" of good training to you guys because I know there are alot of people out there who simply don't know how to train. If you have any questions at all, anything in the whole world just message me on facebook. I would love to answer your questions, it would brighten my day. So without further adue, I will post my very first blog. Good luck tomorrow mustangs, and good luck to myself!
